Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist in spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, please ensure they do not contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images hosted on the site.
Cookies
User Convenience: If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name and email in cookies so you don't have to fill them in again. These last for one year.
Login Data: We use temporary cookies to check if your browser accepts them. Login cookies last for two days, while screen options cookies last for one year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks.
Session Security: Logout immediately removes login cookies.

How long we retain your data
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely for automated approval of follow-up comments. For registered users, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username).
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You may also request that we erase your personal data, excluding data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
